What Causes Tiny Bumps on the Skin?
Tiny bumps on the skin are very common and can appear for many different reasons.
In many cases, these bumps are harmless and may improve with simple skin care habits.
One common cause is clogged pores. When oil, sweat, and dead skin cells build up on the surface of the skin, small rough bumps can develop, especially on the face, chest, arms, or back. Dry skin can also create tiny raised spots that feel rough or uneven.
Another possible cause is heat and sweat. During hot weather or after exercise, sweat may become trapped under the skin and lead to small bumps or irritation. Some people also experience bumps from allergic reactions to skin care products, laundry detergents, or certain fabrics. Using harsh soaps or scrubbing the skin too hard may make the problem worse.
